What colors can you make using the natural food colors from Nature's Flavors?
You can use our natural food dyes to make shades of green, black, purple, orange, and pink using the primary colors blue, red, and yellow. Experiment with the natural food coloring that we offer to create your own unique shades of colors, perfect for any type of beverage or food application.
Is the natural food coloring consistency liquid or powder?
The natural food colors that we offer are liquid-based. These liquid-based natural food colors are excellent for adding to beverages, but they can also be easily added to baked goods. See our organic food dyes made with certified organic ingredients as another liquid-based option. For a non-liquid food dye, we do offer natural food coloring powder as well.
Which plant-derived ingredients are used to make the natural food colors?
Our flavor chemists use plants to create natural food coloring. These plants, like edible flowers, spirulina, hibiscus, turmeric, elderberries, and annatto seeds, give the natural food dyes their vibrant colors. We also create our natural food coloring from vegetables like purple carrots, beets, and red radishes. At Nature's Flavors, we only use the finest plant-sourced ingredients in our natural food colors and never include any additives or artificial coloring.
What types of food and beverages can use natural food coloring?
Our natural food colors can be used in frostings, icing, and glazes to decorate baked goods. You can also add natural food coloring to sweets like cookies, cakes, muffins, and more to give them color. Add natural food dyes to beverages like soda, carbonated water, milkshakes, lemonade, juice, cocktails, and more drinks for a beautiful beverage presentation. Whatever you're making, there's a natural color for food that fits.
