How To Make Homemade Lip Balm

Tools

    • • Microwave

    • • 2 Heatproof measuring glasses

    • • Measuring cups

    • • Disposable pipettes

    • • Knife

    • • Cutting board

    • • Stainless steel spoon

    Ingredients

    Directions

    1. In a heatproof measuring glass, microwave the cocoa butter in 30 second intervals to avoid burning until it reaches an oil-like consistency. Set aside after.

    2. Use the microwave to melt the candelilla wax in a heatproof measuring glass in 30 second intervals.

    3. Carefully pour the melted cocoa butter into the melted candelilla wax.

    4. Add ¼ cup of Nature’s Flavors Coconut Oil

    5. Add 15 drops of the Nature’s Flavors Food Coloring of your choice.

    6. Add 15 drops of the Nature’s Flavors Fruity Flavor Oil of your choice.

    7. Mix everything together with a stainless steel spoon.

    8. Pull the spoon out of the lip balm mixture and allow it to harden.

    9. Once it hardens, test the lip balm. If you’d like your lip balm to be softer, add more coconut oil. If you’d like it to be harder, add more candelilla wax.

    10. After you’re satisfied with the consistency of your lip balm mixture, carefully pour it into your desired tin, tube, or glass.

    11. Allow it to set before using.

    12. Enjoy your Fruit Flavored Lip Balm!
