The bark is slashed and the resin that is produced hardens and is harvested. Nature's Flavors Olibanum Essential Oil can be used in perfumery and aromatherapy. It is used in many religious fashions and has been traded for over 5000 years. It has been used as a traditional medicine throughout India and Asia, and may also be used to repel mosquitos. It has a sweet, balsamic fragrance which typically smells of incense. 

Safety Guidelines: This oil is non-toxic and will not irritate or sensitize the
skin. Olibanum should not be used directly on the skin. The oil should first be mixed with a diluting or carrier oil.
