A Natural Alternative to Coffee Flavoring Oils

Looking for a flavor oil for coffee beans? Nature’s Flavors Coffee and Tea Flavoring is used the same way as traditional coffee flavoring oils: mist it over roasted coffee beans or dry tea leaves, seal them and let the flavor absorb. It is built on our natural and organic flavor extracts, with a small amount of alcohol that helps the flavor spread evenly and then evaporates, leaving the flavor on the bean or leaf. If you use coffee roasting flavoring oils or a flavoring oil for coffee beans today, try our flavoring for coffee beans and tea leaves instead. Apply it after roasting, once the beans have fully cooled.

How to Use Coffee Bean Flavoring

All it takes is a spray bottle and a glass jar: mist, seal for 24 hours, then grind and brew.

  1. An amber spray bottle, a 2 oz bottle of Nature’s Flavors French Vanilla Coffee and Tea Flavoring, a teaspoon of flavoring, a shot glass of clear liquid and a bowl of roasted whole coffee beans on a wooden table

    Measure

Add 1 teaspoon of Coffee and Tea Flavoring to a spray bottle for each pound of roasted whole beans. For more even coverage, mix in 2 to 4 tablespoons of vodka (optional).

  2. Flavoring sprayed onto a bowl of roasted whole coffee beans while the beans are stirred with a wooden paddle, with a 2 oz bottle of Nature’s Flavors French Vanilla Coffee and Tea Flavoring on the table

    Coat

Spray the beans while you stir, until every bean is evenly coated. The beans should look lightly damp.

  3. Roasted whole coffee beans scooped from a sealed glass jar into a coffee grinder beside a cup of black coffee and a 2 oz bottle of Nature’s Flavors French Vanilla Coffee and Tea Flavoring

    Rest and Brew

Seal the beans in an airtight glass container for 24 hours, then grind and brew.

Know Before You Order

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Coffee & Tea Flavoring

What are the best flavorings for coffee?

The best coffee flavorings start with the café classics that customers already know and order: hazelnut, French vanilla, caramel, mocha, peppermint and cinnamon. These familiar profiles pair well with cream and sugar, which makes them dependable choices for an everyday flavored-coffee lineup.

To add variety, Nature’s Flavors also offers fruit-forward and seasonal profiles. Blueberry, raspberry and blood orange bring a bright, fruity finish, while pumpkin spice and gingerbread are ideal for limited-time autumn and holiday releases.

To compare several flavors before you commit to a larger size, start with the organic sample pack, or download the A–Z flavor list (PDF) to browse all 150+ Coffee and Tea Flavoring options.

Is there a natural or organic coffee flavoring?

Yes. Nature’s Flavors makes Coffee and Tea Flavoring in two lines: a natural line and a USDA certified organic line. Both lines include café, fruit, floral and seasonal profiles, so you can build a complete flavored coffee and tea menu from either one.

Every flavor is vegan, kosher and gluten-free, with no artificial colors or flavors. Top sellers in the organic line include Organic Vanilla, Organic Blueberry and Organic Strawberry. The natural line includes popular choices such as Hazelnut, Coconut and Peach. Shop natural and organic flavors.

What flavoring can I use for tea leaves?

Nature’s Flavors Coffee and Tea Flavoring works on tea leaves the same way it works on coffee beans. You can use it on loose-leaf tea or on the leaves you pack into tea bags.

To flavor tea, mist the flavoring over dry tea leaves and toss them until they are evenly coated. Seal the leaves in an airtight container while the flavor absorbs, then steep as usual.

Fruit profiles such as peach, mango and raspberry suit iced tea and bubble tea. Warm and cool profiles such as cinnamon and peppermint suit hot tea. Floral and citrus notes such as jasmine and bergamot, the signature note of Earl Grey, pair well with green and black teas. Shop tea flavoring.

Are coffee bean flavoring oils the same as Nature’s Flavors Coffee and Tea Flavoring?

Nature’s Flavors Coffee and Tea Flavoring is a natural and organic alternative to traditional coffee flavoring oils. It is built on our flavor extracts for coffee and tea and contains a small amount of alcohol, which helps the flavor spread evenly over coffee beans and tea leaves as you mist and stir. The alcohol then evaporates, leaving the flavor on the bean or leaf.

Coffee and Tea Flavoring is made without synthetic solvents or artificial carriers. When used on beans and tea leaves, it adds no fat, calories, carbohydrates or sugar. Roasters switching from coffee bean flavoring oils or a flavor oil for coffee beans can choose from 150+ natural and organic coffee flavorings that also work on dry tea leaves. Shop Coffee and Tea Flavoring.

How do you flavor coffee beans?

Nature’s Flavors recommends applying Coffee and Tea Flavoring to coffee beans after roasting, once the beans have fully cooled, and to tea leaves while they are dry.

  1. To flavor 1 lb of coffee beans, add 1 tsp of Flavoring for Coffee Beans to a spray bottle. Optional: mix in 2–4 tbsp of vodka to help disperse the flavor evenly (it evaporates off).
  2. Spray onto the coffee beans, stirring to coat all beans evenly — the beans should look lightly damp.
  3. Seal the beans in an airtight glass container for 24 hours to let the flavor absorb, then grind and brew.

How do I flavor ground coffee or brewed coffee?

Nature’s Flavors Coffee and Tea Flavoring is designed for whole roasted coffee beans and dry tea leaves, applied before grinding and brewing. To make flavored ground coffee, flavor the whole beans first, let them rest, and then grind them.

To flavor a cup of coffee that is already brewed, choose a coffee syrup instead. Nature’s Flavors coffee syrups come in 100+ flavors, including sugar-free options, and add flavor and sweetness in a single step. Many cafés stock both: Coffee and Tea Flavoring for the beans and tea leaves they prepare in advance, and syrups for made-to-order drinks.

Can I buy coffee bean flavoring in bulk or at wholesale?

Yes. Every Nature’s Flavors Coffee and Tea Flavoring is available online in sizes from 2 oz to 5 gallons, with no minimum order. For orders larger than 5 gallons, contact us for a custom quote. Roasters, cafés and tea shops can test a new flavor with a small bottle, then scale the same flavor into full production with our larger bottles or gallons. Per-unit pricing drops automatically as the size increases.
