Latin Name: Daucus carota

General Description: The plant from which this oil is extracted is very nutritious. It is know to have Vitamins A, C, B1, and B2. The seeds and the roots are extracted separately and the oil from each is used for different purposes. The oil from the seeds can help with the retention of urine, as well as relieve colic, kidney and digestive disorders. This oil has also been popular among the women to promote menstruation. The Chinese have traditionally used the oil to treat dysentery and to get rid of worms.

How It's Made: Carrot Seed Oil is made by steam distillation from the dried fruit seeds.
