General Description: Folded Orange Oil is the concentrated product obtained from the winterized peel of fresh oranges. The process used will remove unneeded materials while retaining the highly aromatic components. Folded oils have several times the potency of the original oil while maintaining the best fragrance properties. The two primary commercial varieties of Folded Orange Oil are 5-Fold and 10-Fold. The higher the fold (distillation) the more concentrated the finished product. Stable emulsions are more easily formed with folded oils as less oil is required to produce the desired flavor and fragrance levels. In Chinese medicine the orange peel is used to treat numerous ailments including anorexia and malignant breast sores. The oil is primarily used as a flavoring agent for both the food & beverage as well as the pharmaceutical industry. This oil is ten times as strong as the usual orange oil.

How It's Made: The high vacuum distillation of winterized fresh ripe outer peel produces the oil. 

Safety Guidelines: This oil is non-toxic and will not irritate or sensitize the
skin. Orange (Midseason 10x Fold) Essential Oil should not be used directly on the skin. The oil should first be mixed with a diluting or carrier oil.
