Carrier Oils

For over 40 years, our fragrance chemists have been developing the finest carrier oils for essential oils and fragrances. We use natural and organic plant-derived ingredients to craft our carrier oils. Using carrier oils for essential oils will dilute them, allowing the aromatherapy oils to be less concentrated and last longer. A good rule of thumb is to begin with 2 drops of essential oil with one teaspoon of carrier oil. But keep in mind the ratio varies per application. What are carrier oils?

Carrier oils are used to dilute more concentrated pure essential oils and aromatherapy fragrance oils. These natural carrier oils are made from plant and vegetable sources and are used as a base oil to combine with another type of fragrance or essential oil. Not only do carrier oils help extend the amount of essential oil, but they also safely carry the oil so it can be used on the skin in a less concentrated form.

How can you mix essential oils with carrier oils?

When you are combining one of our carrier oils with another scented oil, simply choose your favorite fragrance oil or essential oil. Then, select the carrier oil base of your choice. Start by mixing two drops of essential oil with one teaspoon of carrier oil. Doing so will dilute the essential oil or massage oil, so it is safe to use for skincare applications or massages. Keep in mind the ratio varies per application

What is the best way to use carrier oils?
